Recipe of the Week-Butterscotch Blondies

Butterscotch Blondies Recipe-Mmmmlicious (Dedicated to Elien)

Makes about 36 bars.

Butter, softened ---> 3/4 cup or (1-1/2 sticks)
Packed light brown sugar ---> 3/4 cup
Granulated sugar ---> 1/2 cup
Eggs ---> 2 whole eggs
All-purpose flour ---> 2 cups
Baking soda ---> 1 teaspoon
Salt ---> 1/2 teaspoon
Butterscotch Chips ---> 1-3/4 cups
Chopped nuts(optional) ---> 1 cup

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Creaming Method

1. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl until creamy.

2. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.

3. Stir in butterscotch chips and nuts, if desired. Spread in prepared pan.

4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and center is set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
